Provides Guidance Using Custom Workflows
The MercuryGate TMS contains a workflow engine that can be configured to any set of processes. Users may be segmented into teams and different process steps can show up for the different teams to complete. The dashboard shows each user what they need to focus on, the status of each load or quote, and highlights what needs attention. Additional notifications such as email, texts, and system popups can also be used to focus attention or notify of exceptions.
These dashboards are highly configurable with drag and drop functions as well as customizable save features. Each window is configured to display whatever is deemed appropriate for each functional step in a process. For example, the dashboard pictured below shows quotes on the left most window and a load board in the upper right window.
Provides Guidance Using Dashboards
In the dashboard pictured to the right, the process steps for the quote window include "assign customer rate" and then "accept quote". Once those steps are completed, it moves off the quote board and onto the load board, where other activities are conducted. These activities might include tasks such as assigning a carrier rate, sending the carrier confirmation, dispatching the carrier, and setting arrival and departure times.
Quotes move from one dashboard window to another based on their status in the customized process flow.
Each of these activities is monitored based on rules and configurations, enabling a truly customizable system as needed for each client. Based on team assignment, customer needs, and process enforcement, each quote moves through a process that ensures all customer and business needs are adhered to.
Provides Guidance Using Easy Click
Even inexperienced users can learn the system quickly. When you drill into a quote or load, you not only see what step is next, but an "easy click" button (see screen below)that can take you directly to a screen to complete that update. The "easy click" button may in fact actually complete the activity for you, such as in the case of a "send carrier confirmation" step which automatically emails or faxes the rate confirmation sheet to the carrier.
The "easy click" button greatly simplifies user training since the system prompts the user to enter the appropriate information regardless of the complexity of the activity. This function eliminates complex training classes, especially as processes change over time. The system guides you through the workflow, making even users who aren't familiar with your processes effective in the TMS.
