Simplifies Through Configuration & Defaults

Customer Hierarchy

Set up a new customer in just a few clicks. For frequent customers, you can set up customer profiles that contain default shipping, billing, and delivery locations. Commodity and item information may also be specified as part of the profile, which can then be used to automatically determine the type of equipment needed such as reefer, flat bed, step-deck, etc. These customer profiles and configurations can apply to other areas as well, such as rating behavior, tendering, and invoicing.

Segment your business any way you like by creating a hierarchy, such as My Brokerage > Region 1 > ABC Widgets Customer.

A single configuration may be set up at the top level of your hierarchy so that all companies beneath it use that same configuration unless the setting is overridden at a lower level. This type of inheritance works from any level in the hierarchy to the companies, divisions, or customers set up below it, so that only the settings that are different at another level need to be changed.

Create a new customer in your hierarchy. You can even copy it from another customer or a customer template.

Simplifies Through Reuse

Customer Templates. You can set up customer templates to create a default profile for certain types of customers. For example, different company profiles might be set up for dry van customers, reefer customers, flatbed customers, etc. You can then use the template to create new customers of that type using the same configuration settings.

Quote Templates. For repetitive moves, you can set up quote templates. Templates can even be created for complex moves, such as multi-leg international shipments.

quick quote screenDon't have a template set up? That's ok, because you can copy your existing information. If you've done a quote for a customer in the past, just look up the quote and copy it. You can also copy a customer. If you like, you can even look up a rate you've given on past loads and copy it to a new quote!

Click on the "Quick Quote Copy" button to reuse previously entered loads/quotes.

Don't have all the information? Create a quote using what you have, such as origin city /state and destination city/state, and fill in the rest later.

Only see what matters. Set up your own pick list values so that they only contain data applicable to that customer or your business. Similarly, item catalogs and address books can also be set up at a customer level so you only see what applies to that customer.

Create multiple copies of a quote. Just type in the number of quotes to create.

Use any type of reference to find a quote. Whether the user knows a quote number, order number, shipper number, etc., the system can be used to find the information from that reference. If only a single load/quote exists it will be displayed; if multiple exist, the system displays a list.

Don't want to create quotes manually? Quotes may also be passed electronically from another system or spreadsheet.

Save keystrokes. Some text boxes, such as city name, progressively narrow down a list of choices as you type.
