CARY, NC (October 18, 2006) - MercuryGate International Inc. announced today the release of an advanced transportation analysis tool, MercuryEdge, that complements MercuryGate's web-based transportation management system (TMS).

The MercuryGate TMS manages a company's entire shipping and transportation process. MercuryGate streamlines logistics procedures and costs by linking suppliers and customers through the Internet. While the TMS meets operational/tactical reporting requirements, MercuryEdge is designed for an elite, small group of sophisticated users within an organization. Edge provides the logistics analyst a powerful tool to scrutinize the TMS data and transform it into valuable knowledge. A familiar interface combined with easy to use functions allows users to analyze and manipulate data using both graphing and statistical tools to produce the type of demanding reports required in today's sophisticated technology-savvy world.

MercuryEdge is installed on a user's computer and is updated automatically whenever it's launched. The application extracts data and existing reports from the TMS server; data access is based on a user's profile and login privileges. Data also may be merged from other sources. Users can perform customized analysis reports -- such as profitability, carrier performance, "maverick spend", and commissions; generate rating models from report data; and run network planning scenarios. The application uses Microsoft Outlook-style menus, Windows-style task panels, and Wizards.
