Finding carriers to cover expedited loads has now gotten easier
CARY, NC – October 28, 2008 – MercuryGate, the industry leading TMS software vendor for logistics service providers (LSP), has enabled access to the GPSNet load board for expedite carriers. This enablement allows users to search GPSNet directly from a customer's quote request within the MercuryGate TMS for available carriers based on specified search criteria. Searches may be limited by using filter criteria such as mileage radius from the origin and/or destination, equipment type, dates, etc. A list of available carriers and equipment is presented to the user along with their contact information. Carriers with equipment such as small vans, trucks, reefers, flatbeds, and even planes are available to cover the customer's time-critical load. Carrier information may be automatically imported directly into the TMS eliminating the need to manually enter. This enablement adds yet another tool in the MercuryGate TMS for the broker to quickly
and efficiently find capacity for the customer.
