"I always tell clients that attending provider user conferences is among the most valuable investments of time they can make," said Adrian Gonzalez, Director, Logistics Viewpoints, ARC Advisory Group. "It's an opportunity to spend a few days with other supply chain and logistics professionals, sharing case studies and discussing industry trends. It's also an opportunity to learn about the new capabilities available and how to leverage them effectively. I've attended the MercuryGate Customer Conference for several years, and even though the event has grown in size and scope, it still maintains an intimate atmosphere for learning and networking." The 2009 MercuryGate Customer Conference was held at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The conference was attended by over 170 representatives from 70 MercuryGate client companies. A conference attendee was overheard saying, "At most user meetings attendees are told how good things are going to be. At this user meeting we were told how good things are already." The agenda included topics on how to take best advantage of the MercuryGate TMS capabilities and new functionality. One new TMS feature announced was TMS Mobile that allows users to interact with the TMS via their iPhones. With the iPhone application, users can access data like carrier rating, customer rating, and real time reports. Another new feature announced was the MercuryGate Carrier Management System (CMS). This capability helps customers manage large numbers of carriers. For more details see the iPhone and Carrier Management System information at www.MercuryGate.com.

About MercuryGate International

MercuryGate delivers solutions that allow shippers, carriers, freight forwarders and third party logistics providers to plan their transportation, execute their freight movements, and analyze the performance of all involved. Customers optimize loads, rate and route loads, spot quote through both private and public bid boards, tender freight, track movements, audit carrier freight invoices, and send customer invoices. Through a customizable workflow engine, MercuryGate customers are able to move the straightforward parcel, LTL (less than truckload), and truckload shipments as well as the more demanding multi-leg ocean, air, and rail movements. Customers may then analyze the information gathered as they move freight to provide key performance indicators on their internal business as well as on carriers, suppliers, and all parties in the supply chain.
