MercuryGate Creates Value for Supply Chain Higher Learning
Cary, NC – October 7, 2011 – MercuryGate International Inc., a market leader in Transportation Management Software (TMS), announced the creation of the Collegiate Supply Chain Management (SCM) program designed to promote the usage of hi-tech logistics tools in classrooms across the country. MercuryGate will provide full usage of the TMS application suite to leading-edge supply chain academia whereby both students and faculty will use the software to model and solve today's realistic business challenges. At the Graduate, Executive Development and Faculty levels, leading institutions such as Central Michigan University can now feature the MercuryGate TMS as a learning and research tool.
MercuryGate's web-native TMS will be utilized by several of the leading domestic and international universities that feature undergraduate and post graduate SCM & Logistics curricula. Faculty members will also use the TMS for special projects including transportation process re-engineering and value-chain optimization studies. "We are happy to see this natural extension of our product suite becoming available to current faculty, students and ultimately future customers of MercuryGate," said Monica Wooden, MercuryGate CEO. "We view this as a practical way of putting leading-edge technology at the forefront of learning, leading the way for tomorrow's supply chain leadership."
Dr. Robert L. Cook, Professor of Logistics at Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, MI, is genuinely excited for his students. "We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to partner with a company such as MercuryGate," said Dr. Cook. "The advantages and experience gained by our SCM students will be tremendous by using the MercuryGate TMS....before they get out into the real world. We will be equipping our kids with the latest tools and provide them with a real advantage in the highly competitive supply chain hiring market. We strive for our students to be highly-desirable by the firms which recruit on campus. With the MercuryGate TMS experience on their resumes, we believe they will be."

About MercuryGate International, Inc.
MercuryGate delivers solutions that allow shippers, carriers, freight forwarders and third party logistics providers to plan their transportation, execute their freight movements, and analyze the performance of all involved. Customers optimize loads, rate and route loads, spot quote through both private and public bid boards, tender freight, track movements, audit carrier freight invoices, and send customer invoices. Through a customizable workflow engine, MercuryGate customers are able to move the straightforward parcel, LTL (less than truckload), and truckload shipments as well as the more demanding multi-leg ocean, air, and rail movements. Customers may then analyze the information gathered as they move freight to provide key performance indicators on their internal business as well as on carriers, suppliers, and all parties in the supply chain.
