Solution Overview

Chatsworth Products, Inc. (CPI) completed a successful implementation of the MercuryGate TMS in 6 weeks and saw the immediate benefits of automated carrier selection, elimination of manual spreadsheets, and enhanced reporting.

Next the team created a customized portal for use in the MercuryGate TMS to reduce the number of steps to process each shipment from 21 to 9 in their initial implementation and then further automated the process to 4!

Phase II was to implement a logistics/transportation strategy that changes from a factory lead time focus to a customer delivery focus. This provided superior service and value to both distributors and end users by providing predictable and cost-effective delivery of their orders.

CPI was able to utilize MercuryGate Mojo technology to provide optimum freight solutions for both transit time and cost and provide customers with innovative delivery solutions. An added benefit was the perception as an eco-friendly company reducing greenhouse gases allowing least transit time to customers.
