• Manage Inbound or outbound freight

  Execute inbound or outbound shipments across all modes and international borders. The MercuryGate TMS will tell you the most cost-effective way to execute. For every leg, it'll consider every mode; including LTL, parcel, truckload, air freight, ocean, intermodal, and rail. You can select the optimal carrier based on service, rate, and/or route guide and request for a spot quote to designated carriers. Quote requests can be sent via email, placed on private bid boards, or posted to public bid boards.

• Manage purchase order or customer order

  The MercuryGate TMS allows multiple shipments with potentially different origins and destinations to fulfill each order while maintaining carrier compliance.

• Tender a load to selected carrier

  Tender your loads via email, EDI, XML, or using the application's web portal. The method you use can be different for each carrier, depending on their capability to communicate. You can automate the tendering process to allow users to click and forget. You can instruct the MercuryGate TMS to automatically select the best option first and then move down the list if your first choice doesn't accept the load or doesn't respond. In any case, the TMS will alert you of issues when necessary.

• Manage your global logistics

  For shipments requiring customs filings, the MercuryGate TMS will assist in the printing or electronic filing of the necessary documents. The system connects with the Automated Export System (AES) to file Shippers Export Declarations (SEDs) to make the process easy for you. Other customs requirements, such as the new 10+2 data reporting function, are supported by the MercuryGate TMS.

• Set appointments

  Schedule appointments for your carriers at your dock doors from within the TMS. This will let you manage your facility better and avoid back-ups and idle times at the loading dock. You can then keep statistics about the on-time performance of your carriers to help you make more informed decisions in the future.
